Origin 101

Some of the best food I have ever eaten. Everything on the menu at origin is perfection, could not be any better. The pork belly is by far the best pork belly I have ever had, 10/10. Scotch egg is to die for and the presentation of every dish is impeccable. Portion sizes are exactly right, service is great, cleanliness of the restaurant is 10/10. You can tell that the chefs and front of house staff really care about what they provide to customers. Definitely deserves a Michelin star across the board and a few AA rosettes on top.

Took my mum here for lunch and we both really enjoyed it. Staff are super friendly Had the three courses for £30 which I think is reasonable. I would recommend it I’ll definitely be back.

Beautifully dessert amd the coffee is the best in Northern Ireland

Came here on a Saturday evening with my boyfriend, he booked only a few hours before we were to go so we were happy to get a table. I've never been before but he had and wanted to come back for a while. We were greeted by friendly warm staff, were asked if we had a coat/umbrella to store (I had an umbrella) so she kindly set that aside for me. We were brought downstairs by another waitress and shown to our table, we were asked if we wanted to put a couple of our drinks in the fridge which we did. We were given menus to look at and it didn't take long for us to decide (we had looked up the menu beforehand). The menu is small but with a good selection. My boyfriend and I shared the chilli and garlic prawns to start, they were huge prawns and came with a bit of toast, possibly sourdough not sure. The flavour was amazing, not too spicy and had a nice smokeyness to them. I think it would have been a lot for one person to have on their own as they were chunky prawns and we had about 5 each and the bit of toast. We then had our main, my boyfriend had the duck and I had the Coley (Pollock fish). I thought my fish was incredible and my boyfriend tried some and thought the same, he really enjoyed his duck, I tried a bit and it was nice but duck wouldn't be something I'd really go for. They both came with a side of potatoes, mine were crushed with mint and parsley I believe and my boyfriends were dauphinoise, very tasty indeed. We had got our 2nd drinks from the fridge before our main, the staff were very attentive, friendly and warm throughout our dining experience. We had a bit of a break after our main and then shared (my personal favourite dessert), sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and it was devine. We would definitely be back. The aesthetics are good, nice place to sit, the staff were all lovely and the food was just next level.

Brought my mum for dinner here and it was absolutely stunning! Loved the atmosphere and service too! Everything was 20/10.

The best eatery Moira, great menu with great staff who are engaging and helpful. The food is excellent, of all the restaurants in Moira I would choose Origin 101 every time.

Firstly, I rarely write reviews but Origin definitely deserves one. We've been here for dinner at least half a dozen times and I can confidently say that each time has been fantastic. The food, atmosphere, and service are all simply amazing. The chefs really know what they're doing and I guarantee that whatever you pick from their thoughtful, seasonal menu, you will enjoy it. Service is professional, punctual, and carried out with a personal touch. Owners and staff really make the experience and there is a clear passion in their work. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed, even when it's busy. The restaurant looks great at night too. Lastly, their coffee is really good too! Seriously, we tried the others and it's the best in Moira 👌
